The church of St Michael the Archangel, Laxton, held its
annual Garden Fete on July 17th 2009 . Unlike last year the rain did not let up,
so the fete moved into the barns at Crosshill farm for the second time in three
years. The support was fantastic and the cake stall so well supported that an
extra table had to be fetched to hold all the produce. Thanks to everyone who
contributed to the evening and to the excellent sum raised, which is in the
region of £750 before all final receipts and expenses are accounted for.
